Opportunities
We are currently looking for doctoral students, masters students, and postdoctoral researchers to join the lab. If you are interested, please reach out to Luke with your C.V. Prospective students should be enrolled in a qualifying Masters, Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. program at Harvard. Prospective postdoctoral researchers should hold a Ph.D. by the time they would begin their position.
We are most interested in applicants with some combination of quantitative and biomedical background, but we will consider candidates with no biological or medical background if their quantitative expertise is extremely strong. Experience in human genetics specifically is certainly not required.
If you join the lab, possible areas of research include:
1. Comparing the genetic architecture of rare vs. common genetic variation
2. Developing methods to analyze GWAS data using graphical models and genome-wide genealogies
3. Integrating rare protein coding genetic association data with functional and machine learning-derived features
4. Characterizing the genetic architecture of autism
We do not hire high school research interns.
